As I mentioned in the last photo set, the water level was at an incredible low this year, so much so that it effected the water we were using inside the cottage (to wash ourselves, to wash dishes... we get spring water to drink because the lake water is too murky to drink). We have a plastic tube that goes from the lake to the house, and since the water level was so low, we weren't getting any more water, only brown guck. So we had to buy some tube and extend it. It's not a strenuous job whatsoever ~ simply connecting the new hose to the old hose ~ but it was truly then that I discovered just how mucky my part of the beach had become.
So what did Bob do...? He told me to walk around in the mud while he took pics of it. He then told me to remove my rubber boots and walk in it barefoot. The things that went thru my toes. Then afterwards, he took some pics of my feet as the mud quickly caked them in the sun. We finished this set with a few photos of me washing my feet... with the water that was flowing freely once again from the lake back to my place. Water is truly a wonderful thing. |
