It was the middle of September and I had been up north 2 weeks more than expected. I focused a lot on healing and I had time to ponder about my life at the age of 48. I had worked at the same place for 18 years, giving everything I got both mentally and physically, and now my body wasn't able to handle the physical nature that my job entails.
I could live up north however I do have a home in town that I also have to take care of. So Bob 'n I 'n the pups rode back. My doctor had put me on a 'leave of absence' for a couple of months so I knew I wasn't going back to work until possibly December. So we scheduled our time - how much of it we would spend in town and how much up north.
I decided to close the pool. It was too much work for me to manage and autumn was around the corner anyhow. I was barefoot half the time and once I was done placing the tarp over the pool, my feet were extremely dirty. I decided to take a shower and Bob decided to grab some photos of it. |
